The Halpin Research Group at the National Maritime College of Ireland, are delighted to announce that the AT-Virtual project will be hosting an online webinar for the 2nd Maritime Digitisation challenge on Thursday the 14th of October between 1100 – 1300 (CEST). The AT-Virtual project is an NTERREG VB Atlantic Area ERDF funded initiative which aims to improve the operability and performance of Maritime Safety Training Centres (MSTCs) in the Atlantic territory by enabling businesses to develop emerging technology-based solutions to MSTCs needs in the field of simulation-based training systems for maritime security operations. This will improve Atlantic Area capacity, preparedness, resilience and incident response to maritime incidents and emergencies in Atlantic waters, while fostering innovation and sustainable growth in businesses.
The call itself is focusing on applying big data and data analytics to maritime training contexts, and the Halpin Maritime Mechatronics Lead Mr Mike Griew will be presenting the NMCI and MTU challenge. The purpose of this information day is to help potential participants (startups from the Atlantic Area) better understand the technological challenges and their context, and to be able to fine-tune the proposed solutions.
