Dr. Sarah Milne obtained her PhD in Arctic politics and regional security from the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Limerick in December 2020. She has taught on a wide range of political science and public administration courses including ‘the Politics of Oil’ and ‘Issues in World Politics’. Prior to graduating, she was awarded a scholarship from the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and the Marine Institute to participate in the Arctic Frontiers Emerging Leaders Program in Tromsø, Norway in January 2020. Sarah currently holds the Chair of the Humanities and Social Science Working Group for the Network of Arctic Researchers Ireland (NARI). She also holds an MA in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Birmingham (2010) and received a scholarship from the Russian Embassy in Ireland and the Irish Department of Education to attend a summer school at the Pushkin institute of Russian language in Moscow in 2009. Her BA is in History, Politics, Sociology and Social Studies (HPSS) from the University of Limerick (2009).
